The World Cement Association (WCA) will host its 2026 Annual Conference, April 19-21, at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
Held under the theme, “Shaping a sustainable future through digitization, innovation and performance,” the two-day conference will bring together global cement industry leaders, policymakers, technology providers and stakeholders to examine the strategic, operational and sustainability challenges shaping the sector’s next phase of transformation.
“The cement industry is navigating a period of profound transformation. From managing overcapacity and market volatility to deploying AI and delivering measurable decarbonization, the challenges are complex, but so are the opportunities. Our Annual Conference will bring together global leaders to exchange practical solutions and strengthen collaboration, helping shape a sustainable and resilient future for cement worldwide,” said Philippe Richart, CEO of the WCA.
The conference will open with a comprehensive assessment of the global economic environment and its impact on cement markets, alongside regional outlooks across Asia and Europe. Discussions will explore regulatory developments as well as practical decarbonization pathways that safeguard competitiveness.
The second day will build on this strategic outlook by addressing the overcapacity challenge and industry restructuring, with case studies and regional perspectives providing delegates with practical insights into unlocking performance while accelerating decarbonization. Sessions will explore digital maturity and AI-driven plant operations, manufacturing optimization, sustainable building solutions and circular concrete models, as well as evolving customer requirements across the construction value chain.
