After 2 ½ years of planning and coordination, SESCO Cement completed installation of a custom Siwertell ship unloader at its Port of Tampa Bay operations.

“We’re very excited to establish our presence at Port Tampa Bay, one of the nation’s most strategically located ports,” said Aly El Etreby, vice president of business development at SESCO Group. “This investment reflects our commitment to the Florida construction industry and our confidence in the region’s continued growth. Our Tampa operations will allow us to deliver materials more efficiently while creating quality jobs in the local community.”
The installation of the new ship unloader marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion efforts in the Florida market. SESCO anticipates moving up to 700,000 tons of material through the facility by the end of 2026.
A subsidiary of SESCO Group, SESCO Cement was founded in 2014 and is a distributor of building materials specializing in white and gray cement. In addition to its Tampa terminal, the company also has a facility in Houston.
