Founded in 1951 by three lubricant salesmen in Fort Worth, Texas, Lubrication Engineers (LE) is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
The company began with a mission to create higher-performing lubricants that reduce wear and extend equipment life. Over the decades, LE has grown into a global partner for industrial organizations, delivering premium lubricants and reliability solutions that help optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime and lower total cost of ownership while supporting sustained company growth.
Today, LE manufactures a full line of enhanced industrial and automotive lubricants from its manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kan., formulated with highly refined or synthetic base oils and proprietary additives. Operating under an ISO 9001 Certified Quality System, the company also provides reliability services and products, including oil analysis, filtration equipment, breathers, automatic lubrication systems, and other tools designed to extend the life of both lubricants and machinery. Many of these solutions are offered through LE’s “X Products” line, allowing customers to implement complete lubrication reliability programs.
In recent years, LE accelerated its growth strategy through a series of acquisitions, including MicroPoly and Easy Bar in 2021 and Royal Purple Industrial, RSC Bio Solutions and Swepco in 2025, expanding its product portfolio, technical capabilities, and presence in key industrial and environmentally focused markets. These additions, along with further acquisition activity planned, are helping LE reach more customers globally, create new jobs and offer broader career opportunities across its organization.
