Papers are now being accepted for the 2027 IEEE-IAS/ACA Cement Conference, which will be held April 11-15, 2027, in Sacramento, Calif.
The conference invites papers focused on the practical application of electrical technology, standards, equipment, safety and systems relevant to the cement industry and within the scope of the Cement Industry Committee Working Groups.
For 2027, the paper submission process includes early review and rolling submissions. Abstracts submitted during the early review period will receive initial review by the Working Groups, giving authors earlier feedback to help refine and strengthen their papers. Additional abstracts will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the program is filled.
“The technical papers are the bread and butter of this conference,” said Paul Tennis, ACA’s senior director of research and product standards and a conference volunteer. “The exhibition floor, training sessions and lectures are all important parts of the experience, but the technical papers are at the heart of the event. They showcase the innovation, research and technical excellence that keep our industry moving forward.”
All papers are subject to peer review and will be published in the conference record. Selected papers may also be considered for publication in IEEE Industry Applications Society publications, including IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications and IEEE Industry Applications Magazine. At least one author is required to register for and attend the conference to present the paper.
Authors interested in presenting should submit an abstract of 200 words or fewer to the appropriate Cement Industry Committee Working Group chair. Questions may be directed to conference@cement.org.
