BinMaster announced the release of its IECEx/ATEX, Zone 20, 21approved vibrating probe sensors.
BinMaster’s VRX point-level vibrating probes were introduced in August 2025 with a bright status indicator light. In addition to automated level alerts via a horn, alarm panel, or PLC, users can also view the sensor’s status via a red/green color-changing LED, highly visible from up close to over 100 ft. away.
The new models also feature durable, die-cast aluminum power pacs with a USDA-approved powder coat finish. While the screw-off cover allows for simple configuration or troubleshooting, it also provides robust protection against harsh process conditions including dust or heavy bulk materials encountered in agriculture, mining, cement, or industrial applications.

VRX vibrating probes are designed for dependable high-, low-, and cone-mounted level detection in bins, tanks, and silos – particularly in lightweight pellets, fluffy powders, and clingy substances with a bulk density as low as 1.25 lb./ft.³. A buildup-resistant, blade-shaped probe and adjustable sensitivity settings prevent false alerts in challenging bulk materials.
ATEX-certified probes from BinMaster include:
- VRX-21: Standard in-stock model for high-level, low-level, and plugged chute detection.
- VRX-31: Includes sanitary stainless-steel fitting, suitable for clean-in-place food or pharmaceutical processing environments.
- VRX-41: User-customized rigid probe extension up to 13 ft.; ideal for level detection in light, medium, or heavy materials.
- VRX-61: High-temperature model (up to 482°F, or 250°C) with raw-cast aluminum housing.
- VRX-71: High-temperature option (up to 482°F, or 250°C) with extended probe, user-specified up to 13.3 ft.
