Amrize to Expand Midlothian Cement Plant Production

To help meet rising construction demand across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Amrize is investing in its Midlothian cement plant to expand production capacity, modernize logistics and improve operational efficiency for customers.

The investment is part of Amrize’s broader commitment to invest $900 million across its North American operations in 2026 – a 15% increase compared to 2025.

“Texas is one of the most dynamic construction markets in America,” said Patrick Cleary, senior vice president of U.S. cement and supply chain. “This investment strengthens our ability to partner with customers advancing critical infrastructure and commercial projects across the state. By expanding capacity and significantly improving efficiency, we are enhancing reliability, safety and service for the customers and communities we serve.”

The Midlothian expansion project, expected to be completed in 2027, will include:

  • Adding 100,000 tons of annual cement production capacity.
  • Construction of two new 15,000-ton silos, increasing the plant total to 14 silos.
  • Expanding truck loading lanes from six to 11, increasing loading capacity by more than 80%.
  • Implementing self-service truck loading technology.
  • Reducing average truck turnaround times to approximately 5 minutes.
  • Rehabilitating existing silos to unlock additional usable capacity.

The Midlothian facility employs approximately 150 team members and currently delivers more than 2 million tons of cement annually.
