Cemex U.S. Sales Up 5%

Cemex announced results for the third quarter of 2026, with strong growth across all key metrics. Sales totaled $4.590 billion versus $4,245 billion in the third quarter of 2025, an increase of 8%.

  • In the United States, sales increased 5% on higher cement and aggregates volumes. EMEA EBITDA grew 4%, driven by strong pricing and cost efficiencies, partially offset by higher energy costs.
  • In South, Central America and the Caribbean, cement demand remained solid, with robust performance in Colombia and Jamaica.

EBITDA reached $990 million, growing at a double-digit rate, with continued margin expansion. EBITDA and EBIT increased at a faster pace than sales, underscoring higher earnings quality.

Year-to-date Free Cash Flow from Operations grew 194% to $1.4 billion, with a conversion rate of 60% on a trailing-12-month basis. Cemex’s robust performance was driven by its ongoing Project Cutting Edge program, higher prices, and growth in consolidated cement volumes.

Cemex also reported progress on its asset pruning initiative, which aims to enhance asset efficiency, with a focus on EBIT, Free Cash Flow, and return on invested capital, through performance plans and optimization of its existing operating networks.

Since launching this initiative last year, estimated divestment proceeds, including both completed and announced transactions, total more than US$200 million and include more than 140 facilities. The proceeds from these sales are intended to be recycled into more strategic and accretive investment opportunities going forward.

As examples, during the third quarter of 2026, Cemex completed the sale of its ready-mix and recycled concrete assets in the Atlanta market in the United States, while entering into a long-term cement and admixtures supply agreement with the buyer. The company also began exclusive negotiations with Vicat Group for the proposed sale of certain ready-mix concrete and aggregates assets in southeastern France.

“With Project Cutting Edge as our foundation, we delivered another quarter of solid performance and continued progress on our strategic priorities,” said Jaime Muguiro, CEO of Cemex. “Despite a volatile macro backdrop, our teams have remained agile and focused on what we can control, delivering on our transformation plan while identifying further opportunities for improvement.”
Mexico delivered another strong quarter, supported by growing cement demand and cost efficiencies.”
